Hi All

After some input from Norm (libsti) & Brian (Subie Boy), I was thinking a Charity Cruise / Drive might be a good thing to look at.

I have no doubt, that most of us would have some old toys etc that we would be willing to part with... So why not do it for a worth while cause Brian has already started the ball rolling with him donating his Xbox, & I'm sure we could improve upon that

Aside from this, we could also organise a cruise... Nothing crazy, even just a highway run down to the Gong or something... Collect say a gold coin (Or $5.00 would probably be better) & donate that to a specific charity.

I have a close friend who works with fund raising for "Cystic Fibrosis" (Both her children suffer from it)... She's actually on the board at the Childrens hospital here in Syd, along with some pretty powerful people, like the head of Channel 9 etc... Perhaps we could work with her & help make a difference to some children who are not as lucky as we are.

I think something like this could be fantastic if we run one in each state

I think its a great idea, mate! Thanks for organising this, I feel a lot better after making the donation and it feels good knowing that we're making a difference in people's lives, people who are less fortunate than ourselves.

I am in for this, depending on time (dates, etc).

Any dates for the drive?

I was kind of hoping we'd have more peoples interested

In regards to dates, I'm thinking mid June? Basically whatever suits people. I'll be pretty easy once I get WASABI back

Obviously there more people we have, the better the day will be, & the more benefit will be giving to those sick kids

I just reckon we drop into 1 of the hospitals with a shit load of PS2's and Xboxs along with a drive. Still im up for it. anything after the 7th of june im fine

Can we cross promote with the other Liberty forums? OzLib and RSLC. I'm sure i could drum up a bit more interest form there.
From my experience over the years people wont commit until they have something set in concrete a little more, ie. dates and suggested routes. I'm sure once those are up people will jump on the bandwagon.

More then happy to have other clubs there... Providing there are no tyres kickers of course. The last thing we want is to turn a good will idea into a sh!t fight.

Before anyone posts anything up anywhere else, let me set some dates & details etc Will do my best to do this by the end of the week.

Dont invite VL turbo clubs then , If we get this into a large run you might get the individual trying to wrap himself around a pole..
