Liberty Club Bike Day (SYD)???

Liberty Club Bike Day (SYD)???

Postby swingn » Thu Jul 31, 2008 12:53 pm

Hey All!

From a recent thread, it would appear there are a few bikers amongst our ranks.

Obviously with the cold weather, I can't see anything happening until it starts to warm up, but maybe a bike / car cruise is in order :)

If anyone is keen, let me know & we'll get the ball rolling!

Cheers
Matt

I'm going for my learners in a few weeks, so may be up for a ride if it's in around 2months time. Bit of a wait on the bike i'm after.

Um, either the new ninja 250r, or the honda cb400 super four. Probably should just get something cheap till I am unrestricted. Then I'd jump onto something like a cbr600rr. Very sexy bike

Go Team Honda!

I think the VTR250 is probably the best learner legal bike going around. That is of course if you don't count the CBR250RR :D If you don't mind a naked bike, I would 100% go for the VTR250, then once your off your L's / P's, its up to you.

Most Honda bikes don't. Mine doesn't that's for sure.

VFR800's do though. It's got a fully sick V4 with VTEC Yo! :D

I think the CB400 super4 and the VFR800 are the only 2 with Vtec!
dont get the New Ninja250R, is not worth!!

and other cheap option is the Korean Made bike, Hyosung GT250R(sport fairing)/GT250(naked), my frd just get one for 4700(GT250R), as new condition, 8000Km, sports carbon muffler, 2005 made, and 10mths rego!! its very gd deal~~ but mostly also around 5K only, V-twin engine, not too bad with 27HPS
If want some more power, go for the GT650. But its a bit big for learner, if your height is around 180cm, it should be alright!

Good to see we'll have a handful of people on their bikes :D

Figure we'll be able to set a date in the next few weeks as its starting to warm up.

Out of interest, is there any preference to where we ride? I'm always keen for a Nasho run (As most of you should be aware ;) ) but going up north is also an awesome run.
