I would love to race but Insert excuse of why not when I mentioned it, the missus hit the roof, BIG TIME

she still has bad memories of racing previous cars that were daily drivers & having them brake down on the track & needing a tow home, with out a tow car or trailer in sight :evil: :evil: & both of us being stuck a looong way from home with a broken car.
Call me SOFT or what ever cause I totally agree :( :(

Chris think of it as a cruise to the destination and we always need good people handy with the cameras too.

I'm sure we can get the numbers to have the whole track ... plus im sure we all can bring few friends along too ...

but need to check if the track is available ... wakefield is very popular this time of the year ~

if we need extra numbers, I know a few guys that would love to come....... bear in mind they will not driving soobi, just heavily modded commodores, don't worry they a only fast straight in fast lines

phil let me know as they too need warning to arrange time to get there too.

Hey, this sounds good. I can't commit right now, but I'd love to come, even as a spectator.

Will Wakefield provide timing gear? or should we just use stopwatches?

Track Pricing for 2008

* Saturdays $4,600
* Sundays $4,800 (and public holidays)
* Weekdays $3,500
* Any CAMS events will attract a $500 levy which will be charged in addition to the circuit hire.
* Insurance cover is mandatory AASA Permit $800
* Ambulance $550 per day
* Track Marshal $280
* Control Tower $200 per day

with these prices it would be better to attend a
Speed off the Street Days (Open Practice)

* $110.00 for the day (cars) & $120.00 for the day (bikes - weekdays) $140 for the day (bikes - weekends & public holidays)
* $50.00 for a Wakefield Clubcomp Licence valid for 12 months
* Helmet hire available for $20 per day with a $50 Deposit

I was thinking 20th August. Is that too soon? There is a space available and we can still keep it private. If you keep it under 20 cars then you dont' have ambulance costs and the other bits and pieces.

Just my thoughts.... :lol:
