iModify Star Car Cruise

Postby Kody.B » Mon Nov 12, 2012 4:55 pm

So the iModify cruise have invited Club Liberty to the Star Car Cruise as a group. I can't go as I'm in QLD but I promised a friend I'd post in here for you NSW folk :)

Hi Australian Liberty Owners Club,
We would like to invite you to our next charity cruise – the ‘iMODIFY Star Car Cruise’ for the Starlight Children’s Foundation on the 8th of December 2012.
With a tremendous support from various organisations we had over 1,300 cars attending last year and we raised over $13,000 for Starlight Foundation.

Image

The next event is on December 8th, and will take place at Penrith Paceway, NSW. We expect a turn out of over 2,000 cars and we are deploying higher degree of attractions and activities, and with professional traffic controllers and security teams in place for a much bigger and better organised event.

Image

There will be two official meet points around NSW where thousands of cars will all gather at a final destination, and parked within the infield area of Penrith Paceway. From standard cars to full show cars to high-end exotic cars are expected to turn up. This event is for the young and old, families and everyone who values a great Starlight day.

We already have a number of car clubs confirming their attendance, such as the WRX STI, V8s Australia, Mitsubishi Owners of Australia, Skyline Australia, Street Kings, Down Low Performance, Club CJ, and various other online communities from Wollongong, Campbelltown, Central Coast and Newcastle areas. We expect to receive more interest over the next 4 weeks.
Sponsorship packages are varied from simple product sampling, coupons, product/service vouchers, etc. with donations from $150 to over $1,000 – depending what you intend to do at the event and the level of exposure you aim to have. We are backed by a number of media companies and organisations at different sizes, and would like you to get involved this year.
We have the Starlight Team assisting with show-bags management/logistics, and they will also be joining us at the event. There will be 2,000 showbags this year.
Having a display car branded with your logo or web address next to your stall is a great brand awareness exercise to the public. We could organise a marquee for your area, or you could use your own if you already have one made.
Opportunities such as flyer/promotional item inclusion on showbags are also available, along with logo inclusion on the flyer, banners, or printed media articles for the event for the next few months. (logo inclusion in flyer is available for a limited time only, i.e. before November 15th).
If you do not have access to a branded car, or marquee, or already made flyer/promotional items - simple monetary donations will be accepted in return for certificates from Starlight Foundation and logo inclusion in various areas.

Please contact 0424 946 634 for more info regarding the event or drop a line at admin@imodify.com.au advising what you could do this year, or refer to the below links for more information. Any donation/involvement will be greatly appreciated and will transform the lives of seriously ill children, young people and their families throughout Australia.

Count me in guys. Would be good to get 20+ cars out for this and draw some attention away from skylines and lancers. Tokyo import styled matchbox cars.

Yeah it's a bit like a Downshift meet up here, 80% crap, 20% good haha.

First post edited with people attending.
If anyone would like to take control and organize it, that would probably be better than me mediating from interstate XD
There are heaps of clubs going (Rexnet, Club CJ etc) and I think they all park together so good seeing some Libs holding the side :D

I don't know what the deal with donations/sponsorship is but as far as I know it isn't mandatory.
Once we get some numbers, if someone would let them have an idea of numbers that would be good.

The e-mail address in the spiel above will get you straight to the gents at iModify.

Just found out that to enter your car it is $20 to show it or something? I didn't know this so my mistake.
If you's go ahead with it, they can get you all a spot to park together but if not that's all good too :D

I really believe in the Starlight foundation after what they did for my late niece earlier this year towards the end of her battle with a brain tumour.
I'm unfortunately working in Port Stephens that day till about 3:00pm so should be able to make it for about 5:30ish in the arvo if the event goes for that long.
Either way I'll do my best to make there and if not I'll stil be making a donation.
Is anyone gonna organise something for us to reprazent!? If I wasn't rostered that day I would've...

I can continue to organize if need be.
Now to organize a group I will need final numbers and I think an extra donation over the top would be expected - hey it's a good cause. I will e-mail iModify again and ask whether a bit extra on top of the entry fee would be necessary or whether they will be happy to give you a spot for just the entrance fee. Unfortunately as a forum and not a car club, we can't make large donations like other clubs there.

Matt, if you would like to step up, the e-mail in my first post is direct to the administration. If you'd like to give me a hand organizing, that would be great.

Good to see everyone coming together for a good cause. As DeMobBoss said, they are a great foundation.
I doubt Club Liberty has a banner or anything, do we?

At this stage I've emailed about getting a spot, but closer to the date if you could start contact so that they're dealing with someone in the right state, that would be great :)
