swingn wrote:Best run is go via Nasho to Mt Kiera to Mac Pass & then home again... Not overly long, but it's great fun - Organised this about 12 months ago.

If you want to go further, from Mac Pass you can go via the Kangaroo Valley which also has some nice roads - I'm sure Mr Smythie will know the best places to go :D

Would also suggest doing it prior to Xmas, as if you do it during the break double demerits will be in place which will limit everyone's fun.

Oh, & I'm keen :) Just incase you couldn't tell :P

i travel from wagga wagga to nowra most weekends via the valley, and its probably the highlight of my trip

Swingn has the best idea, was thinking maybe start at albion park then head up through mac pass, then back through the valley (I drive through the valley at least 2 times a month both ways) then maybe stop at berry somewhere for a bite to eat, then all meet back up at the starting point? Just an idea. And yes, I think we should make it before Christmas, say a Friday or Saturday, heck maybe even a nice Sunday cruise if every one is keen

would be nice to get some Sydney boys down too if anyone is interested

It'll be an early start for us Sydney folk if we're meeting you down there. Generally we all leave from the Shire by say 7:30am ish, which depending on how long we stop for, generally gets us to the top of Mac Pass by around 10:30am ish.

Friday!? I don't think so chaaamp... Sunday gets my vote as most people are available.

i prefer the idea of a Sunday cruise too.
we can work out a time to meet up with you Sydney folk, it will be a big/long day im guessing

and there is Sunday 11th and 18th of December, those are the two Sundays before Christmas.

if everyone is up for a Sunday, which date do they prefer?

its a long, scenic drive. open to discussion/adjustments, but what do you all think?
my trusty source (Google Maps) said it would roughly be 2 hours
