Just as a comparison... Costs for the now 23 parties, including all extras / options & Wakefield License = $327.00 (Was $355, based on 21 people).

Just over $300 for a full day at a race track with instructors and emergency medical (both of which are important) is a very good price.

Of course you hope you won't use the ambulance, but I'm yet to see anyone at these days (gun drivers included) who doesn't get more out of it by having some informed input from the silly seat.

i hate to put a spanner in the works, but the costs are creeping up - anything over 250 for a private track day is getting a bit expensive imo.

marshalling - honestly, no need - the only real thing they do is stand at the start finish line waving a flag to come in, or waving a warning flag if they see someone go off. - a good prep talk at the start of the day should see any confusions eliminated. - i'm happy to do the flag waving when i'm not out on the track (give me 500 instead  )

ambulance - think its compulsory for a large number of cars? so don't think we can cut costs here, or can we...........?

driving instructor? - hard to argue against, but from a cost point of view, is it really needed? Somepeople won't even get access to the intsructor given say 35 cars make it. So how is that fair that someone who pays for it, doesn't even get access to them.

Sorry for the rant, but just thought it was something to consider and put into perspective.

I don't think the costs are getting up too high... & obviously the more people involved, then the cheaper it will be for everyone.

Yes, the ambulance is required for is 20 cars or more are attending... Sadly it's a cost that we cannot avoid.

Track Marsh... No arguement, if our numbers remains say under 25... My thoughts are:

a) It allows everyone to enjoy the day in a fair manner in regards to time on the track.

b) Doesn't mean drivers or spectators are stuck with what is (Let's face it) a dull job & therefore can enjoy the day to it's full extent.

c) No one can argue with him as he is a employee of Wakefield... Therefore people have to take notice... Thus keeping everything fair & safe.

The instructor I think is just a good option to enable everyone to learn as much as possible. Especially for people who do not know the track, or perhaps it's your first time on the track. Over the course of the day everyone would be able to take advantage of him... To be honest, when the cost is only like $30 per person to have an instructor, I can't see the harm in having him there.

I know some of you will be price conscience (Thus why I have posted rough figures previously) but I set out to have a full on day, where everyone can learn how to drive their cars harder & faster in a safe environment... :D Maybe I have high standards, but when I'm involved I want nothing but the best for my friends & members in this forum / group / club.

If I'm there I'll be happy to wave flags/point at people. Have done similar a couple of times (trackday and a raceday), and it isn't a problem for me.

14th of August? it's far enough away that I should be able to book the day off.

If you are prepared to take on the role with some of the other spectators, then I have no problem with not having a track marsh :D

From my limited track experience, I have personally found an instructor to be a huge benefit... Especially if you are new to a particular raceway or just new to track work in general.

 I like to have Luffy there as well, but I don't want to know how much he would charge :P

Trust me, if I didn't think it would be a benefit to our membership I would not have suggested it.

As I said previously, when I'm involved I want nothing but the best for my friends & members in this forum / group / club :D
