Mano, as Tony has pointed out, this is a Drive. It is not supposed to be a family day out.

There are obviously lots of people who would be interested in a picnic day so perhaps you could organise one?

And stop hijacking my thread, you post whore you!!!!

Well here is an old RS Liberty Cruise we did..

Cruise and a BBQ. Terrigal for lunch.

(this is from Newcastle tho.. so we would make changes, as don't think there many central coast guys??)
10:00 Meet at Broadmeadow McDonalds
10:30 Leave maccas and drive south through Belmont to Toukley
11:15 Arrive at South Lakes Caravan Park near Toukley to pick up the Coast guys
11:30 Leave for Terrigal
12:00 Arrive at Terrigal for lunch
2:00 Leave Terrigal for Kilcare Heights Lookout
2:15 Arrive at Kilcare Heights
2:30 Leave for Patonga
2:45 Arrive at Patonga
3:00 Leave Patonga, come home either through Gosford or the freeway or the way we got there. Sydney ppl can drive home on the old Pacific Hwy or freeway.

Maps below. The route is shown in yellow, and speed camera locations shown in red.

They are more than welcome.

And Mano, there won't be a picnic on this trip. Sorry.

Food, who needs food when you are out driving a liberty on wonderful roads?

We will pull over and grab some quality fast food at some stage in the day. :) Did I mention that I do have a fridge in the boot?

Points to grab food along that journey include:
- Garland Valley Roadhouse (aka Halfway House) on the Putty Rd
- Bulga Roadhouse just before crossing the bridge (if going that way - see footnote)
- Broke servo
- Wollombi pub (will have PLENTY of bikes if the weather is good)
- Wisemans Ferry

Footnote: Personally when doing that loop I wouldn't go all the way up to Mt Thorley before turning around for Broke. You can cut out something like 30km or boring highway by taking the turnoff at Milbrodale and heading to Broke. It's easy to find: it's the first major road to the right (ie signed with big green sign and destination towns) north of the 10 mile twisties. In fact I think it is the first major road off the Putty Rd north of Colo Heights

Here is my suggestion for that loop - just the run up past Bulga to Mt Thorley cut out.

Google Maps route

I have also marked the Garland Valley Roadhouse, Broke and Wollombi with markers E, G and H respectively. I assume (dangerous I know) that people know where Wisemans Ferry is....

I am tentatively putting up my hand for this cruise. Have to clear it with the wife before confirming 100%. Sounds like it's going to be a good cruise.

Does anyone else have two way radios?
