I got real problems, car was towed to Subaru this morning cause some how or another it seems to have missed placed 7 litres of oil, The car was serviced about 4k kms ago and went to start it this morning and it made the worst metal on metal noise I have ever heard so i turned it off striaght away checked the oil and there's not a drop.

So havent heard back from subaru yet, they are going over the car now and said will let me know asap.

so not looking good for Friday.

Wow that's crazy hope its a simple fix not something overly complicated/pricey.

Yer my dads forester use to make a bit of a no oil noise on start up ..
Yer mine isn't looking good to ... Haven't had mine for a week
Tho mine has rapid oil drop to like 1.5l in 5000kms So would like to know what's the cause of yours

GOOD NEWS!!

Should have my liberty back tomorrow, the reason for the oil loss was a small hole in a low mount rubber pipe, which looked fine by eye but when the accelorator was pressed it opened the hole up menaing if the car sat for awhile there where no drops underneath because there was no pressure, it only leaked oil when I was driving and the pressure was able to reach the pipe.

So all fixed and covered under warranty!

Picking up Mid-day tomorrow with any luck

so Friday is still on for me

i would have liked to go, its a bit far for me guys, + just got my car back from mechanic today, radiator fan MAY be on its way out....
be careful with spirited driving in the wet guys.

Still waiting for the Liberty to be ready, Subaru said they were aiming for today but will let me know, so most likely wont be ready until Monday im guessing!!

Sorry guys unfortunately I have to work back today, and by the time I finish work and drive down from Newcastle I won't be able to make it on time. Got thrown on me at the last minute.
