It sounds like they are going to kick us off the table around 8pm, but I'm sure there's going to be lots of photos and chinwagging after :)

Shame im working, would have liked to have come
next one i promise! haha

on a side note, ribs & rumps need to learn a lesson in hospitality if theyre kicking tables out at 8pm, especially a big group booking nearing 20 people..
I work at a restaurant in darling harbour, only time in the last year i can remember having to tell a table we needed them out by a certain time was a group of 3 who turned up without a booking on one of the busiest night of the year

I think some of the busier restaurants now usually have two seating sessions during the dinner period on weekends. Usually from 6-8 PM, and then again from 8-10 PM. That way they can have more customers and force patrons to get the hell out if they linger around too long. When you call them up, you can't really specify a time any more. It's just 6-8 or 8-10. Your choice of the two. :?

Are we having a gathering for 80 year olds.

I think you should change the time to 8pm. Then when we turn up at 8 and the table isn't ready, make them seat us at the bar and shout us free drinks until it is. ;)

I'm glad no one has suggested that we gather at Hooters!

I was hoping to catch the Geriatric Early Bird Special they have at that hour. :derisive:

I think you should change the time to 8pm.

The place is not THAT big. So the ever more popular 8 PM time slot was not available for such a large group. Unfortunately the private dinning room they have only seats up to 16 people (and was booked anyway).

I'm glad no one has suggested that we gather at Hooters!

That was one of my original choices for a meet up ... until I remembered how many times we had to fight the bikie gangs for parking in previous gatherings.

I don't mind drinks at Jim's place as long as he doesn't want me to get changed.....
