Matt....... what a brilliant day!

Big thank you goes out to Matt for organising, Big Events such as this involve abit of time and effort, actually alot! to get it over the line and yesterday, friggin EVERYONE had fun :) :) :) Hell I DID!!!!!!!!!

Mr BBQ King (aka Leo, aka HKS180) awesome photos, my bro took some and other mates too, hoping to post them up soonish.

ALSO gotta mention that skinny guy waving everyone through the pit lane :) Tony (Smythie) THANK YOU I hope you didn't burn out in the sun too much buddy. The sun was shinning, the track was dry and the tyres were screaming!

From my own experience, this has to be best track day I've been to so far. Club Meets as in officially organised don't have the same atmosphere, going with mates that you have beers and dinners at mini meets with, spend time at Phat's on the weekends with... is soooo much better then the wayyyyyy more serious Club Meets. BIG THUMBS up to private track days.

Matt, how about making this an annual event hey? Perhaps two ppl organising next time to help you out abit ;)

Great Day, Matt hats for doing a great job, all your time and efforts were greatly appreciated, all the guys were singing your praise,

Tony, we would have been headless chickens without marshal duties. I see you were a few shads of red by the end of the day.

Rod and Adam thanks for organising the camera’s, Rod your mounting setup was bullet proof, it survived my spin    sorry Norm, can you still taste the dust?

Also we were lucky enough to have Rod bring a lip stick camera, it fit well on my tow hook, keep your eyes out for the video and side ways action

So when is the next one?

No worries gents! Glad everyone had a great time :D

Without a doubt, anyone who didn't join us really did miss out on a top day... Oh, & a hot lap in a 911 Turbo :D

Tony (Smythie) you were outstanding throughout the entire day. With you, the day would not have gone so smoothly :D

I've got some photo's off Tony's (Sentor) camera that I can post later - If he doesn't beat me to it of course :P ... Also will workout how to post the video from Rod's lip stick cam :D

I think a few awards maybe in order :P

* Balls Out Award - Trieu, Kerrod, Normy... Trust me guys, these 3 were going for all or nothing!

* Grass Cutting Award - Kerrod, Normy... That's what happens when you go balls out!!! :P

* Biggest Off Award - Tony (Senator)... Mate, it was awesome! The boys are going to be picking up the tab to buy that picture!

* Worst Luck Award - Meeeeee!!!... Thanks to all those that got me back up & running again

* Fastest Car On The Day Award - The guy who turned up late in the 996 911 Turbo & took us out for hot laps :D

* Biggest Surprise Performance - James (VW Forum) in his Polo GTI that was soooo not standard... Who knew such a little car could go so hard!?

* Best Sounding Car Award - Ian (VW Forum) in his R32 Golf... I don't think there is any disputing this one. That noise put our Suby's to shame

So how about I book a day in about a years time? That way those who bought a year license can use it again :D Anyone keen for this???

Oh, & next time you've all got to stay down in Goulburn the night... It was most good :D

cant wait till the next one,and book me in for the stay over night, hopefully there will be some VB drinkers lol.

Well, I know the owner of the R32 got down to 1:11.43. He was hugely stoked with that time - it was close to 2 seconds better than his previous best. In addition to that, the young guy had previously not been able to better him but at around 3pm, he beat the owner's best (at that time) of 12.0 with an 11.5. Red mist descended and an 11.43 was managed late in the day. But whether he was the fastest or not (wrist watch timing had the 996 between 1:11 and 1:12 a lot of the time), his was the best sounding IMO

That 996 though was am amazing experience. Super power, super dooper brakes, awesome turn in and balance and so much commitment from the driver. Came past us at the pits soooo fast. That said though, Trieu's didn't seem all that much slower at pit wall. He was sooo on it everywhere whenever I saw him.

The Cayenne had its tyres going all gooey after about 5 laps. A 4x4 has no right to be so fast. Tyre endurance though suffered

The Integra Type R. Super loud. Looped it 2 or 3 times on his first out lap of the day. His commitment didn't drop off all day though so kudos to him for that.

Brendans proving that a quiet arse dragger could be punted pretty quickly.

The MPS3 - what a tyre frier that one was. The first few sessions it had the fronts howling on corner exit. I think he started taking it a bit easier on the gas pedal during the day. The instructor reckoned he had an awesome gearchange by the way.

Adam - proving a GT could hang with an RS4 and a 135i coupe. One session there I waved the blue at him as I thought he was holding the Audi up (the two kraut cars belonged to mates of his). Being the good boy he was, he let the Audi through then dutifully hounded it for the rest of the session. The 135i was right there on their tails as well and all day, even down the straight, wasn't out done by the v8.

Trieu's brother - that S2k needs an exhaust :D

Joel - punting that Gen 3 RX quite quickly. Well done mate :good:

Jason - what I would have paid to hear that C63 howl down the straight. Even for a couple of laps :D

I had a great time flagging for the guys. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Don't hesitate to ask

Oh and one last thing. I don't think anyone has thanked Matt for the absolutely perfect weather. It could not have been better. Bone dry, around 15-20 degrees all day (a little cooler in the shade), minimal wind. Just bloody perfect. A little sunburnt, but only a little

When's the next one?

Did I hear someone mention the C63? AMG? 6.3L V8 power? That thing would have done some serious times for sure!

Next track day? Sign me up :)
