14/08/09 - Wakefield Park Track Day

Just so everyone is aware A few of us are looking at staying down there on Friday night.

I'm sure after a full day of hard driving we are going to be rather tired, so we figured finding some cheap accomodation for the night may be a good idea... That way we can have a nice meal, a few drinks & of course talk BS about the day

So if anyone is keen on staying down there also, make yourself known & I can give you the details of where we are looking at staying etc.

Have booked 2 rooms which will sleep a total of 7 people (8 people if someone wants to share my King size bed ). Cost is $46 each

Place we're staying is 100m down the road from an awesome steak place. So a steak dinner & a few drinks I'd say are in order for the Friday night

It would appear that the ambulance is going to be required... We now have 21 people with a potential few more

Once I have all the payments through & numbers confirmed, I will let everyone know what the final costs are

I have also confirmed a driving instructor for the day His name is Len & I know him through the VW forum I'm part of, where he comes highly recommended. He has experience racing touring cars, carts etc etc etc. He provides his services at all the tracks around NSW & runs days for (Dare I say) MRT.

So he shall be available on the day should you wish to utilise his services. Costs for this will be divided equally between those that are interested to keep things nice & fair So if your interested, please let me know

Put me down for the instructor, would be great to get advice about braking point and driving lines for Wakefield, since I have never driven on it.
