If they are MRT tuners, I wouldn't be wasting my time.

From reading this forum, there are already some fantastic tuners in WA.

That maybe the case... But I'm sure one of our WA members would be able to direct you to another tuner who can tune your B4.

I know I'm not the only one who doesn't trust MRT & their tuning.

I think what swingn meant was that there are other tuners that use other tuning methods, like OpenECU, besides EcuTek to tune a car with fantastic results.

But I think MRT owns the licensing to EcuTek in Australia, but there are various tuners who are authorised re-sellers of MRT.

That why if you already have a EcuTek tune it would be a good time to go have it customized. Everyone knows there are other tunes out there Verso etc.

If you dont already have one, dig deep for $1990 and book in (they are in Perth on Monday the 9th March in Malaga and Tuesday the 10th March in Wangara) Prepayment required and the car for the full day (details from a recent MRT email)

Just as a point of reference, ASG offer a tune for $1190.... although Sean from ASG said expect 15hp improvement (which didnt leave me all that enthusiastic?)

As mentioned in same thread at perth-wrx, there are other options and yes Allstar Garage is one of them. There is a member called Jazzie who owns a white 2003 B4. It used to have ecutek when she bought the car, ran like shit. Sean as ASG tuned it for her and it runs like a farkin freight train now. She buzzes my house regularly as her mother lives two doors down from me.

James dont get hung up about how many killa wasps of power you gain on the dyno. Driveablility, throttle response, better boost range, torque gains are all part of the custom tune and should not be discounted imo.

James according to MMS the price is $1,595.00 + labour for dyno time which usually $80 an hour. Weird how they come up with almost $2000? Could you PM me the email?

Im very keen to hear about your experiences Dave as Im tempted by ASG. I agree that KWs are good for bragging with but like you, Im after faster acceleration and driveability... has anyone got a Auto2.5GT in perth thats been tuned for me to experience?

cheers
James
