Folks, what goes on in these cruises? Do I have to have a modded car? (hopefully will have had a little work done by then though but certainly only basic stage 1 type stuff). Wondering if a humble 07GT will be a bit embarrassing? Wife and I have always wanted to join a club but she's worried its a 'bogan boys doing skids' type thing. We'd be up for meeting new people, chatting about cars (of which we know pretty much nothing). Let us know more? Would be good to get off to a good start.

Hi Dave,

You don't need to have a modified car to come on these cruises. They are basically a chance for us to meet new people with the same interest, chat, check out each others cars and take photos. No skids or "hooligan" behaviour that you might hear about on the news at our cruises. Come along, say hello, if it's not quite your style or you feel uncomfortable you can leave at anytime anyway :)

Cam.

yeah Dave, not too many skids going on due to 4wd haha. can be a fair bit of noise tho. most of us seem to behave fairly well for the most part.

i went to my first cruise by myself, bit awkward on my part but everyone is friendly enough.

everyones car was stock at some point so dont sweat it.

Cheers Dylan, looking forward to it. Now thinking about (trying) to hold off on mods until I get a chance to ask members what theyve done first.

All good if have a +1 guys? Side note: looking at getting a couple of things done beforehand at maximum Motorsport. Do they know their stuff or do you guys think I should look elsewhere?

Cheers fellas

Yeah Maximum are pretty good, they know their stuff. Either them or Stechnic (whichever is more convenient really).
Though Stechnic don't tune stuff, so if its tuning related, then head over to Maximum.

+1 is probably ok =)
