Anyone want to help out?

Anyone want to help out?

Postby kennysti » Mon Nov 12, 2012 6:25 pm

Hey all, Ive had some trouble as far as test fitting my other turbo goes. Mainly my problem is getting the dump pipe off. Is there any WA guys (or girls) out there that are confident and happy to lend me a hand in doing this? I have pretty much all we need in my garage (except a hoist) so if anyone is free over an evening and knows their way around their lib I would greatly appreciate the help.

Cheers
Jacob

Hi Jacob,

I'd be on for a few hours one evening.
Have you been spraying that bolt with tough bolt penetrant or at least WD40?
Sounds like it needs to soak in for a while.

Also have you got torque wrench and settings?
26ftlb for Dump pipe bolts according to Grimmspeed, just from a quick search.

PM me best time, I'll bring the beers this time too

Hey J!
Yeah I've given them a good spray and they are coming off ok just the last one near the steering knuckle is almost impossible to get a good angle on.
Sounds good to me I'll work out some times this week.

Have you tried going from the under side of the car?

Car was up on stands and I was certainly underneath trying to get if off. It's completely inaccessable from the top. There isnt a heap of room to turn a wrench in there with the steering knuckle in the way thats all
