do you know if its "top of the line" for sure? its just that I've seen the head unit in another BRZ had a touch screen/satnav instead of that ugly toyota looking stereo

Yeah, each to their own...

I'm new to the AWD thing and love front engine, rear wheel drive cars..

IMO it's a very good package, relatively cheap, very light, VERY good chassis and a nigh on endless supply of aftermarket parts through TRD and STI...

According to the dealer yeah... but having said that he most likely didn't know shit.. I'd say there would be an options catalogue outside the normal range... I personally really enjoyed it.. love the gearbox, love the chassis.. found the interior nice as well.. not flashy, just simple, functional and well laid out.. seats are comfy as hell too...

Only real downside is the bob-Jane spec wheels

finally someones agrees with me! i can't wait to see one with decent looking wheels! also i can't wait for some kind of forced induction version. but yeah I'm fairly certain top of the line has satnav screen and what not.

Been seeing a red Toyota 86 flying past work last couple of weeks.
Think it must be a demo down at Toyota in Osborne Park.
Sounds nice when they give it stick on the sweeping bend

Interior does look very plain though IMO on the BRZ.
mod -> tune -> drive -> get bored -> repeat...
