JDMWA presents .... 'This Sunday'

Postby champ » Thu Mar 15, 2012 2:10 pm

Just for the guys that are cruise hungry. It's a copy and paste directly from Facebook, but for those who aren't aware, there are also forums that you can sign up to. The cruises are generally pretty big.

JDMWA #6 will be held on Sunday the 18th of March 2012.
Meetup at 6pm meet for a 7pm cruise departure from Riverton Shopping Centre Carpark on Willeri Drive.

These meetups are designed to allow JDM car enthusiasts a spot to meet some new people with the same interest, get some photos taken, and keep the WA Japanese car scene alive.

All those awesome photographers we had at our events last year that submitted photos, we of course would like to invite you back to cover our event once again, plus our talented official photographer Gavin Host [https://www.facebook...tography?ref=ts] will be covering the event aswell. JDMWA stickers and tshirts will also be available on the day.

For those who have attended our events before will know the rules; no skids or revving of your car during the meets, popping antilag, ken block antics, hooning/street racing etc, you get the point - don't ruin the fun for other attendees and cause unwanted attention to the event.

Come along if you want to have some fun cruising and socialising with likeminded individuals with the same interest (jap cars), don't come if you want to do standstills and limiter bash in a carpark during a meet/stop full of 300+ cars causing the boys in blue to pay us a visit - use some initiative please =]

#Specifically no NON-Japanese branded cars at our events unless personally invited by one of our admins. We are Euro-friendly, however only by invite.

JDM♥ from the JDMWA team.

North Inbound Cruise - Karrinyup Shopping Centre 5pm for a 5.30pm departure. [upstairs carpark]

I'm not sure if i can make it yet... but I'm keen to meet all you Liberty folk! :D
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

I'm planning on just heading into the Karrinyup (NOR) meet to check out the cars, take some pics (no plans on joining the cruise down to Riverton yet)

Hmm... I may actually join you and attend the meet up then... coz my car is not presentable by any means... especially with me sporting the 'primer' wheel look and that it looks like i've gone through the bush and back. Plus this morning I took out my grille with intentions of painting that too...

HAHA! So... you wouldn't believe what happened on the way home from the meet tonight... it seems none of the JDMWA members have invested in GPSs' and didn't know how to get to Riverton. They actually followed me three quarters of the way home!! =/ hahaha!

Yeah, decided against finding parking in the city for dinner, and thought about going to Spencer Village... but then again when I was at Riverton, I decided that Collins Rd was just down that street (for dinner)

Edit: Just deleting number plates and I spot Adam's Lib in the background! Didn't see you there when I did the rounds. :?

Once again I bumped into people from the JDM WA meet afterwards on the road. Met them on Tonkin Hwy and the young punks were driving like idiots......in half painted piece of crap Nissans.
Cutting people off in traffic then 160km/hr on Tonkin, good luck hanging on to their licenses.

Both times afta JDM WA meets its been idiot driving by chaps with Nissan sylivias.

Considering I had my fiance and our 19month old in the car the last thing I wanted was morons trying to race each other through traffic just in front of us.

Think I'll go to the next meet just to give these idiots a tuning.

That's the main reason why I'm reluctant to join their cruises... don't so mind going to take pics and ogle at the girls cars

Decided to go onto Riverton because I was stuck in the middle of the Hondas and partly because they were driving sensibly, but partly because I didn't want them following me to where I decide to have dinner. Pics are up!
