All open I think we deserve to come any way! I've seen euros at the previous cruises, I think it's more JDM style they are after... Either way I'm going. I can msg and ask specifically if anyone wants to do that. Any suggestions for a meet point before the JDM cruise?

Yer I figured they wouldnt mind, Im south of the river so dont really know any good meet points north beyond the city.

Might be dumb but i just signed up to JDMWA and i cant find the post for the cruise anywhere (JDMWA#5)....probably blind but just asking incase its been cancelled?

Pretty sure our Liberty are not JDM unless it has a Legacy badge on the back.

JDM cars were limited by a jishu-kisei (gentlemen's agreement) among manufacturers to 280 horsepower (PS) (276 hp) in 1988 and a top speed of 180 or 190 km/h since the late 1970s, both imposed by JAMA, mostly due to safety concerns and the latter due to concerns regarding bōsōzoku gangs.[1] The horsepower limit was lifted in 2004.[2] However, the speed limit of 180 or 190 km/h remains in effect, depending on the make and model of vehicle. Many JDM sports cars have speedometers that only go up to 180 km/h, even though the car would be capable of much higher speeds if not for the built-in limiter.

Now I remembered my '82 Celica having a 180km/h speedo - it was an imported model, not those you get locally.

I have been on 2 JDM cruises before and both times in my 07 GT, no one minds, I even get a few compliments on my car even though it's stock! The Legacy is JDM and the liberty is just re-named in Australia so there should be no probems..

Just had a chat to one of the forum mods to clarify, said it wouldn't be a problem at all, get as many libs down as I can

So hopefully we can get from 5-10 of us down there at least!
