I don't wanna miss the cruise so I'd like to propose to move it to the weekend of 16/17 Oct. (I wanna do both!)

And teK - stubbies, snags, few mates, nice weather, talking about cars and watchin the V8's... What more could I want?? :D

Aw rite! I am with you on this one. Bathurst is like a holy day. So lets delay the cruise by a week or two.

Oct 17 is ok for me. The following weekend is out, there's a multi-club hillclimb at Rob Roy I'll be running the timing at.
(I may just give my Liberty a run up the hill then, and see if I can beat 26 seconds :))

I'd be in too, doesn't bother me if 17, or 10th.....

P.S. Ric, how do you get involved in this hill climb business? I'd be interested in doing something like it.
I've heard you can join Skylines Australia, or even the WRX club, get a cams licence, and then you get access to $100 track days?

hey Benny you were speakin to me about that at the cruise. Join Skylines Au VIC for $80 ($50 yearly renew) and you get access to a CAMS license ($95/year). You can then enter SAU events such as skidpan, Sandown, Haunted Hills, Philip Island etc or mixed club events.

You have to be a member of a CAMS affiliated car club to get a CAMS competition licence.
Once you have one, you can enter many events.

The Rob Roy events are listed at http://www.mgcc.com.au/robroy/index.shtml

RR is a fairly easy, "historic" track. The runs only take about 30 seconds, and there's plenty of runoff space everywhere except across the dam wall.

Haunted Hills/Bryant Park is a much longer circuit, with a lot more challenging corners.
But. it's further to go, and usually a bit more expensive, and very unforgiving if you slide off the road. i.e. very hard tractor tyres or embankments which will do a lot of panel damage.

Let's start all posting which date we can make and get this sorted out early.

Do that list on the first post again Ric.

Interested 17/10/10 Myself and the Golf R32 again. He will apply for day off provided there is enough notice given on the date.
