Hi fella's,
Every year i go to the WRX club Xmas party and it's usually a bit of fun.
Should we have a little Melbourne Liberty Club get together before Christmas? Dinner and a few beers somewhere?
It doesn't have to be right near Christmas as everyone will be on holiday, but early December could be an option.
Let me know your thoughts.
Cheers
Andrew

I'm happy to be part of.
There is a nice pub in Port Melb (I think it's called Exchange Hotel) which has good feed and if we get enough people we can book out the whole back room (would have to get in early for Xmas though unless we have it during a weeknight).

Sounds like a winnar.
In QLD from about the 22/23rd Dec to about 28/29th
maybe the weekend (19/20th) would be the best.
if the weather's good a nice location would make for a great photoshoot.

How about somewhere in Docklands for dinner? There are plenty of nice places around there (maybe too pricey for some tho) , and there will be some good spots for night time photos.
How about Friday night 11th Dec, or Sat night 12th Dec? Something nice and civilized would be good so everyone can bring along the family. What do we think?

Either night would be good. What's parking like around docklands? I'm tipping it'll be paid parking around that area.
oh... and when is that new nightclub supposed to be opening up? (they're supposed to have something like a 1300-person grog license... dun really want to be around that...)

Aye. Parking in the city might be a tad... difficult. Hell... we even had issues parking in Berwick for the failed photoshoot! How bout somewhere leafy and country-esque?

Choose a date, and lock it in, people will either be able to make it or not. Otherwise it'll never happen.

Good idea. Being the thread-starter, i'll use my power and choose
Saturday 12th December!!
If parking could be an issue (even if we get 10 cars, finding a car park with 10 frees together might be hard) so perhaps something a little more 'leafy' in the 'burbs would be better.
What about Village Green Hotel on Cnr Springvale & Ferntree Gully Roads. It actually has an alright meal, but it isn't that fancy tho. There is plenty of parking too.
Thoughts?

Village green would be good. There's a playground there for the kids to run rampant in (take your pick of age bracket(s) for the kids), and a large enough car park that we should be able to get everyone lined up. Hell... next door there's Glen Wavely Subaru

oh... and over the road (FT Gully Rd) there's a car wash for the more cosmetically minded.
