Yes good point. I meant Sat 12th Dec! I guess its gonna be hard to find a night that suits everyone, but it is a democracy so if everyone votes for Sun 13th that is cool. Let me know but I reckon a Sat night would suit most people.

May be a two week poll would make it clear which day is more suitable, just may be.

I can't suggest any day and I would not vote in the poll because I will be in Botswana from the 9th Dec.

That Saturday before works for me. That's the 5th Dec. Any objections anyone?

Gee who thought it would be so hard to find a good date!

A park during the day isn't a bad idea. I don't mind organising it. I don't even mind buying the snags/burgers/beers/soft drinks and everyone makes a donation to the BBQ fund when they get there!

What about Jells Park?
Address: 72 Jells Road, Glen Waverley, VIC, 3150, Australia

Site Facilities BBQ Area, Children's Playground, Drinking Water, Picnic Area, Public Toilets, Rest Area, Information Booth(s)

Nestled in the heart of suburbia the park is abundant with native plants and wildlife and is a diverse recreation destination for the whole family.

Over 150 bird species either live or visit the park so you are sure to see swamp hens, cormorants, herons, coots, native ducks and even the elegant pelican around the lake and in the wetlands.

Higher up on the dryer slopes, amongst the box and stringybark eucalyptus trees, nocturnal creatures including possums, bats and sugar gliders can be seen frolicking in the treetops at night, in search of food.

was gonna suggest that as a park location. that time of year though it will be massively busy. may be worthwhile seeing if we can book a site.

The other option (and I think we can book there) is Albert Park. might be a little more central for everyone. good facilities, kids can run their legs off, and good photo ops to suit (lineup along pit straight? :D )

There's a good adventure playground at Albert Park, but the adjacent bbq's can be very busy in summer.
Does anyone have a large portab;e bbq we could take there?

Albert park idea sounds pretty good... Mainly because its central to everyone i think !
In regards to Snags and drinks etc... Even if everyone puts in $15-$20 (bring your own grog of course) and if any money is left over, we can give it to Ric to keep up the good work !!! :)
Personally, i wouldnt mind where it was, it just gives me the opportunity to meet new mates and discuss what the whole thing is about, LIBERTY'S ! Im kind of new to Subarus/Liberty's, so great way of asking questions and learning new things about my car... Also a chance to enjoy the sunshine and a few beers ! 8)
Like i said, i am new to all this, so i pretty much dont know any one on here personally, but if i can do my part in trying to help on or before the day, i will be glad to do so...

Cheers,
Mem
