Mt Donna Buang run - Sat, 16 Apr 2016
Posted: Sat Apr 09, 2016 7:02 pmSo, next Saturday morning (Finance pending) I'm trading in my MY07 Liberty 2.5i, for an MY06 Liberty GT tuned by STI.
To celebrate / commemorate this, and to catch up with some friends of mine, I'm going to fill up the tank and take a run at Mt Donna Buang, followed by an extended loop out to the North and back down to Westfield Fountain Gate. Since I'm yet to actually meet any of the Melbourne Liberty crew, I figured I'd extend an invite to anyone interested in joining us! Details are still hazy on which of my mates (And their friends) are coming, but currently probably a Stagea, Skyline GTR, and possibly a Legnum and RX-7, maybe some others.
The basic information I sent to my mates;
Initial meetup will be at the Golden Orient in Narre Warren North at 12:00pm (Basically plenty of free parking that time of day - and next to Red Rooster and Maccas for anyone who wants to grab a quick bite to eat). From there we'll take a quick sprint down the M1, before ducking off onto the Princes HWY, and turning up C411 to C424 until we hit the Warburton HWY and head on towards Mt Donna Buang.
Anyone interested in a shorter drive can turn back from here; for the rest of us, after a little break up at the summit, we will then loop up Warburton-Woods Point Rd, around to the Maroondah HWY, and back down the C411 and on to Westfield Fountain Gate.
I know that usually it's better to head off early in the day, and on a Sunday - however in this instance I need to actually go pickup the car first
, and would like to leave the Sunday for (hopefully) dealing with any immediate issues the run brings to light - Plus I might be spending the rest of the afternoon/evening catching up with folks over food/drinks at Fountain Gate (Which anyone interested in socialising is welcome to join in on!), so the Sunday may also be for recovery
