That's impressive!

It wasn't all that long ago (for the old blokes :) ) when those times involved a car that needed to be trailered to and from the track.

Thanks :)

I remember speaking to someone who gave up modifying cars after he witnessed a trailered race car get owned by a red P plater in his supercharged commodore, that he drove to and from home.

All the trailered cars during my visit ran 8s and a lot of the street driven ones ran low-mid 10s. Just awesome (jaw dropping) to watch in person!

My second/12.7s run - (the 'launch' has much room for improvement :) )

And some epic low 8 second passes...

If you ever get the chance, go and see the Top Fuel cars.
They are so fast your brain will have trouble working out what just happened.

Best place to be IMO is the finish line. It's cool to see a car sitting 400m away, only to have it pass you at over 300mph about 4 seconds later. Shakes the ground too!

Easiest way to cool the intercooler, is buy a SEALED bag of ice(no holes, or put bag into a black gargabe bag with no holes so no water downs). Drop said bag of ice onto the interwarmer prior to race, instant frozen core.

Yep, cheers, exactly what I was thinking if I go back :) Also installing a water spray (the PW shroud has the holes for it, so should be easy) and try and keep car off in the line up.

I was joking how this seems a bit 'try-hard' just to try and mimic the state the car is in normally on the street, but after seeing the speed difference it's no joke

Not allowed to use water sprays on drag strip at street meets, causes water down on track after you leave
