Not everyone is on the FB group or doesn't check regularly - IMO it's disorganised and there's too much crap posted on there by a handful of people. An attempt at organising an event would probably get lost.
Better to put a link on FB to the Forum thread IMO.

Too much traffic on the long weekend.
If I'm free whatever weekend this happens I'll probably join the cruise from Moe. I drive along some of those roads every so often, Moe to Thompson Dam can be good fun!
