Sorry brandon, not trying to be cocky. I'm usually a very nice guy, and we've met a couple of times, hopefully I didn't come across as cocky. I'll admit I can be a little cocky to people I don't think highly of, and evo drivers (i have no idea why i bought one)

I have had 2 big stacks. Flipped a civic on the M1 redlining 5th gear when i was much younger, and my R32 into the wall on the winton BP straight at almost 100kmh. Wasn't pleasant at all

Don't tar all cruises with the same brush. :)
The official Melbourne cruises generally stick on or under the speed limit. We just make sure we find roads that are a challenge to maintain the limit on :D

+1 Ric leads them and he keeps to the speed limit but they are still awesome fun.

Good stuff, I might try and make the next Vic cruise.

And for what it's worth, not trying to be 'boring' but I personally don't wake up each morning to have a spirited drive.

Plus I'm in a 2.5. Spirited is playing gospel music in the car while I drive.

Good discussion everyone!
For those who don't already know, I AM a cop. I have no interest in being a part of anything stupid or dangerous or highly illegal and wouldn't come along if I thought that was going on, however I'm all for 'spirited' driving, within the limits of the car, yourself and the conditions, when the circumstances allow. That's what Owen is suggesting, nothing more. If its anything like the last cruise it should be a blast! The only thing I'm a little dubious on is the time of day because of the wildlife aspect.

The wildlife is a weird one. I must have driven through the spur to go to lake eildon hundreds of times.
Most of the time I don't see one animal- other times I see heaps!
Lake mountains USUALLY clear at night. But king lake there's wombats and shit everywhere
