This is similar to the first half of the Oct 2011 cruise, but with a nice twisty road in behind the airport added to the start.
We will be stopping at Mt Macedon for coffee, and at Trentham Falls for a loo break and photos.
The finish is at a roadhouse on the Ballarat highway near Ballan. It's an easy run back into the city from there.

I want to say confirmed, but slight possibility of not making it - tentative

Edit: What's estimated finish time? Google maps says 3hrs. Plus about an hour for break? We should be done by 12?

Depending on how the rest of the weekend goes, keen to finally get out. Wildwood was where I grew up and will actually be driving right past.
Stick me down as a tentative, but more likely than not i'll be there. Just me this time, though.

I've added a rough itinerary. Looks more like 1pm in Ballan.

Remember, it's a good idea to bring along a CB RADIO if you have one!

There's some previous discussions about radios at viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12789 and viewtopic.php?f=22&t=5744

Note: Jaycar seemed to have dropped their DC1060 radio.
Current range is:
5W 80ch $149 http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=DC1065
2W 80ch $100 http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=DC1049

I wouldn't consider anything below 2 Watt.

If there was enough interest to buy 5 of the DC1065 model, I could get them for $120 each.
The detacheable antenna is useful, as it lets you connect an external magnetic antenna for much better range.
i.e. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=DC1064
I've used that on the last few cruises, and no scratches on my roof :)
