Thinking of heading down to take some photos and experience the atmosphere that everyone talks about.

Anyone been before? Is it worth the effort?

Anyone planning on going?

Take your ear-plugs, some friends of mine went down to Adelaide a few years ago and the noise was the biggest shock. When you watch it on TV you don't realise how loud the actual noise levels are. Apart from that they enjoyed the experience.

8) Bob.
When I give an opinion you have to ask yourself...what the hell does he know about anything!

I started out with nothing....and I've still got most of it left.....

been there like 2 times, don't think i'll make it this year.
I've enjoyed it heaps, however it would be better if I had a personal tv to follow the action better. Its too hard to hear the TVs set up around the place. if you do get ground passes, get their early and found a good corner with a TV close by. easier to say the f1 cars as they slow down a bit.. and sometimes crash
Grand stands are great but expensive as.

Trieu... being a F1 fan... i would strongly recommend it..

When I lived in Melbourne I went every year.... ground pass and grandstand.... THE BEST!!!

My 2 cents...

I went last year, stood on the first corner. The first lap was AMAZING!! All the cars coming into turn one then throttling out the noise and the vibrations were just incredible. I got to go in the pits to :D Heres a tip. When the support categories get their 30 seconds to enter pit lane grab a pair of headphones put them on stand near someone and just run in with everyone else, they dont check passes ;)
