Few places under $100/night. Medina Exec is $101 a night with undercover parking, but don't know how secure it is.

Cheers mate, doesn't need to be secure parking just somewhere off a main street really

In some suburbs you will... But I'm sure the St Kilda hookers will keep an eye on your car between jobs.

Pleasure mate. We used Airbnb when in Europe last year, was fantastic. Reviews count for a lot, as does contacting the owner and seeing what their like in responce. Also, if you only need a room and don't mine sharing, there are loads more "room only" joints.

Was looking for one with a garage so you could work from home (away from home), alas thar were none. 8)

Epic fail on my behalf.

I booked a house on airbnb. The listing had photo's of every room of the house and said 2 bedrooms etc etc. I then found out that I only booked a single room in someones house which the bloke lives in as well.

Luckily you can get a full refund from the website and he wasn't too fussed. Looks like I will be staying around St Kilda for the first week and then Carlton/Fitzroy for the second.

Thanks all, hope to meet the Melbourne Liberty.asn people at the cruise

Damn! I should have been a little more specific when i mentioned how it all works. Entire House/Apartment is what you want.

Did you a new place sorted?

All booked now. Staying in St Kilda and then Elwood. Will have to do a bit of driving around but couldn't get much in the eastern suburbs unless I shared a house with someone :?

Hopefully get to have couple of beers with some of you when I'm down :D
