Dinner/Coffee at Knox THURSDAY 19/04/12 7PM

Postby imania » Tue Apr 17, 2012 6:53 pm

Hey all,

So Julz and i were going to catch up at Knox around 7pm on thursday just to have a chat about the cars and the tunes etc, just opening the invite to anyone else who wants to come around to hang out, look at the cars, talk rubbish and eat some food.
Anyone interested?
Meet in the east most top car park around 6:45-7

this car park, it's low car friendly

I can't make it tonight as I was out mucking around last night and only made it home very late. Better stay home.

It is tonight as I haven't been hope every night since I got my car back. Enjoy yourselves.

Lol, was a good catch up with some interesting points raised.
Almost identical exhausts phat dumps + phat quads, mine are s/s, Julz' are mild, and yet my exhaust sounds slightly deeper?
Springy tune on Julz's car vs. stock STi tune on mine and yet mine 'feels' quicker on the bum dyno, has a bit more of a kick, the springy tune is exceptionally smooth, so it could possibly be deceptive, but was interesting none the less!

Very interesting. Is the bum dyno playing up?

I would have thought the Springy tune would have made the low to mid range a lot punchier especially from other Springy tuned cars I've been in, I would have thought so.

Well there's only one way to find out if the bum dyno is all wrong. And that would be to attend the dyno say in a few weeks. Same dyno, both cars. Any interest?

I also wonder if Julz's Springy tune is based on the MY08 base ECU map or the MY07. I do know the TBSTI from factory runs the MY08 ECU.

The plot thickens..... :?:

Dodgy overlay of our dyno readouts, mine hits peak power earlier, maybe that's why it feels different?
I know mine isn't running nearly as well though.
