OK, this is a replicate of my post in the NSW section.

Who's near the Burwood East, Forest Hill, Vermont South area?

Will be there for work related stuff from 7-11 May. And was wondering what's good in the area. Office is at the corner of Burwood Hwy & Springvale Rd, but not sure where I will be staying yet.

Also, a VIC Mini Meet anyone? Will most probably fly home that Friday night, so that day is out (and can be saved for the regular kebab meets ).

So is it strictly mid-week? You're not overlapping either of the weekends?
There's a round of the Victorian Hill-climb championship on at Rob Roy on May-6, which would be interesting to come look at ;)

I google'd Rob Roy and a place in NSW came up :?

Going from past experience, the company will book me on a Sunday midday flight, arriving at night (plus timezone differences), so don't think that would be possible even though it sounds interesting.

You Victorians sure have busy schedules on the weekends... so its a good thing this will be "strictly" midweek only at this stage.

Are you sure you typed "Rob Roy" and not "Rub Roy". I'd expect a NSW site for the latter..

Mid week is also good for a kebab meet, albeit a shorter one than normal. Ali's Kebabs in Mitcham Rd is not too far away. Do you have wheels when you are here?

The problem I see with kebabs in May is the cold.

How about Sofia's on Burwood Highway?

You're right, we need to be kind to the westerners. May might be a little cooler than he is used to. What is the address and menu? Do we need to book?

This thread belongs to Champ, so if he is keen to start a meet he can simply edit the title of the 1st post and turn it into a meet.

Champ, put me down as an attendee.
