The Great Victorian Alpine 2 Day Cruise - Back On!

The Great Victorian Alpine 2 Day Cruise - Back On!

Postby MH3.0R » Tue Jan 31, 2012 5:55 pm

Back on again, 28 and 29 April 2012. Keep an eye out for the new thread with details, maps, timing, etc. Not going to raise a new thread as there has been little or no interest. Not a dummy spit, just we all have our own priorities.

I am going on a Victorian Alpine 3 Peaks Tour over two days this weekend and you are more than welcome to join in. The route will be decided as I drive, so a mystery tour!

Start time is Lilydale at 6:30am on Saturday, 28 Apr 2012. We will stop wherever we want as we will have a whole day to Bright.

From Bright, we go over the top to Mt Hotham, then down into Omeo and south to Bairnsdale. Then head west back in to Melbourne (the boring bit from my perspective!)

Anyway, you have only today to express your commitment and then I will see you at Lilydale Maccas bright and early.

Meeting place in Lilydale will be McDonalds from 6:00 am on the corner of Maroondah Hwy and Deschamps Avenue.

Put me down for the moment, but I think I'll only do the first couple of sections. Might change though and could do the full 2 days.

Done.

Generally, there is no obligation to do all of the cruise. Come along for as much or as little as you want!

As above. Thanks for researching the route also.
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Two more added. Please also indicate any guests or I will assume just your self only.

I got two responses from motels in Bright for the overnight. One is already fully booked and the other is lightly booked, so get in early. There are about 8 or so to choose from.

There's also some 3br apartments available too which some of u guys might consider to cut costs down if you are that way inclined.

Well, I just booked my accommodation in Bright. There is SFA remaining and most have a 3 day minimum due to the long weekend. I do advise getting in quickly. Also look around Porepunkah and Harrietville if you cannot find anything in Bright.

Simon, more than welcome to partake of as much or as little as you like. So is that a commitment from you to put your name on the list?
