Mini Meet for a Kebab - Carwash - Coffee - Whateva

Mini Meet for a Kebab - Carwash - Coffee - Whateva

Postby bass_straitener » Tue Jan 17, 2012 4:00 pm

Just thought I'd start a thread for anyone who'd like to catchup have a coffee, wash cars or eat kebabs with company etc.

Normally quite a bit of time elapses between official cruises or meets and people seem interested in a mini meets we could put up a suggested activity here, date and time and guage interest.

For example: Clarence(tangcla) likes eating kebabs and might want some company so he could post here and see if it fires anyone or few people up to meet. :)

The weather seems to be great as well so a Saturday morning, as suggested by some, or an evening\twilight meet might be good.

Any thoughts or would anyone like to kick off?

Car wash would be a nice idea, but we'd want to find a fairly quiet one. Maybe at the foothills of the Dandenongs, then go for a squirt up the hill afterwards. Stop in Sassafrass for a coffee and scones (/puts old man hat on).

Sounds good, except a more central location would be nice, i know most of you blokes are out that way but there are still some of us west siders floating about.

I'm actually hoping the kebab connoisseur, tanglcla, will chime in with a place to meet.

The only carwash I can think off with suitable overflow parking is the one on Whitehorse Road in Nunawading near the Mobil servo.

Can anyone suggest a place and time to kick this off?

That car wash i mentioned in the spotted thread has lots of space for parking. it was designed that way so they could show off all the supercars and euros.

Kieran might be on to something here.

It's not far from my place and ticks most of the boxes.

Anyone interested in checking it out with me tonight at 7:30pm

I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Met up with Mark.

The place itself is no good I'm afraid for a meet.

No real parking for a number of cars. Purely designed for washing cars and then leaving the area.

Looks like a good car wash though.

Anyone else suggest a spot?

Are you not allowed to park at the back where they have car parks?

Sorry for the bad suggestion, I just always see a lot of Euros parked near the cafe section. Is that a private car park?

We drove through the entire complex and it is designed for maximum throughput, not for lingering coffee sipping lazy buggers like me! I even tried out their automated car wash and was disappointed that for the price I did not even get a blow job!! Thanks to Bruce for lending me his chamois (well the modern version). When I get the car out into the sunshine later today, I will provide some feedback on their "Blue Coral triple foam polish". There was extensive swirl on the panels prior to the wash, so it will be interesting to see if they have been diminished in any way.
