Hail Warning

Hail Warning

Postby Kekotic » Sun Dec 25, 2011 5:00 pm

Hey guys,

Just a quick notice to say that there are some big hail storms coming through tonight.

Get your cars undercover, 1 storm just passed over us here and the hail was quite large, and according to my friend at the cops there is another storm coming soon that will be worse.

Keep those Libs safe!

Too late for me. :(
My car was parked in my brother's driveway in Keilor when the first storm came through. The hailstones were cricket ball sized. There was nothing I could do but wince.
I think I was lucky to get out with only two dents, one in the bonnet and one on the roof.

I'm in Westmeadows and it was pretty nasty here. Nothing I could do to protect it. Once it cleared, I dried it and noticed 3 small dints on the bonnet. The rest of the car seemed ok. Mother nature stikes my Liberty again...

My liberty was ok as it was parked at home, but my Polo GTI and brothers BMW Z4 copped it in Sydenham. Tennis ball size hail stones smashed them both :(

Well my car was undercover thank FSM,

But I also know Greensborough took even more of a beating. Seems to be pretty spread out, so I would say a lot of suburbs are effected.

Missed a hail storm by minutes whilst driving to Doncaster this afternoon. Sorry to all who got hit.
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

My brothers SS ute was actually parked outside the garage.
I won't lie, those hail stones hurt when they are smashing on your head  And my new Christmas clothes are now drenched!

Crazy day, one to remember for sure. Fortunately for me it's good memories, others are not so lucky.

My brother said when he was driving his ute up to the neighbours place, the street was lined with cars who all had picnic mats and towels all over there cars.

my brother was lucky to not get any dents in his SS really as the big ones were flying down even when we were trying to cover his car. I have lumps on the top of my head from the hail it was that bad.

Love the end of the video where we get to see the dog come out onto the lawn.

But serious... that was some massive hail stones.
