No participants, so I will bypass Lilydale McDonalds and head straight for the hills! Departure time moved to 6am so I can return earlier as well. I will post comments and timing on Thursday.

Good luck Mark. I wish I could tag along, but I'm tied up in the city each day. Looking forward to hear how it goes. :D

I don't mind a drive, in case nobody noticed! :D Did a route survey at Street Level and it looks like a good twisty drive in several places. Setting off shortly and should be a nice day in the ranges.

Beautiful day for a drive Mark. Enjoy the twisties! :D
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

With family commitments anything more than half a day is pushing it for myself.

I will not be available now for the Friday 27 Jan, so I am thinking of rescheduling to the Labour Day long weekend in March (Monday, 12 Mar). It will be a driver's marathon over the two days, but with regular stops, should be manageable by most. Key will be an early start on both days to minimise traffic exposure and ensure contingency time available.

Two events that should not be missed if the weather conditions are right, sunset and sunrise at the top of Mt Hotham.

Start expressing your interest so we can gauge the attendance for accommodation planning (long weekends need early commitment).

Doh! I did start to put a clip together..... then the home paving project and site supervisor got cranky. Not making excuses, just had other priorities. Guess there are no excuses now!

Ok, so my definition of shortly is anything less than a year! :D
