VIC Charity BBQ for QLD/VIC floods

Postby imania » Thu Jan 27, 2011 12:52 pm

Hey guys,
A couple of other clubs i am/have been a member on (opelaus.com/vwwatercooled.org/vdubclub) are just having a small bbq in the city on sunday, where we'll pass a tin or something around if anyone wants to donate to the floods. Will be really chilled out, just chatting and some photos. Thought i'd post it up here in case anyone wants to rock up :)

OK - So the meet up is this Sunday 30/01/11.

Meet time - 12pm
Meet Location - Point Park Docklands:

Set your GPS for 90 Lorimer st Southbank. It is in a little side street called Pont Park Cr sort of opposite STi Docklands

What to bring:
Yourself
Your car
Some coin to donate

Will there be food?
Yes, I will bring along some snags/bread/sauce/etc for the BBQ

Will it cost me?
Only as much as you wish to donate.

Will we cruise?
We can all decide when we get there if anyone would like to cruise, or wether we just hang around and talk general rubbish and take photos etc

Be good to see some of you there if you feel the need/want to catch up! :assassin:

Notice was a bit short. I'm already going to another function at 1pm the same day.
(Old racing driver's 80th birthday. There's a good chance some of the vintage racers, e.g. Jim Richards, Colin Bond etc. will be there. ;))

Already gave at the office! No, really I did. I'm not joking!

Seriously, I am sure most people have already contributed where they could, and will continue to do so. But Ric is right with the length of notice. And to top it off, a couple of us cruised on Australia Day, so would be hard pressed to get another leave pass so soon for another club event, albeit a very worthy cause.

So give us some feedback on how things went anyway and any pics of the turn out.
