I was wondering how many would be interested in a melb cruise with this great weather starting and maybe a final one for the year? I personally at this stage don't have any routes in mind so I wanted to see if anyone else does and who was available to come in the next couple weeks..

Maybe a dinner or quick meet.

I can't speak for everyone but I just seem to be a little 'cruised out' and it will probably stay that way until after Christmas.
I would like some sort of night meet for dinner for the eastern suburbs guys, or even a meet at the car wash, but as far as cruises are concerned probably count me out until next year :)

There was talk of a final cruise for the year but it kind of died off before it really got started....too many different options were given for the location so we never picked one.

The only way this will get off the ground is if we propose a date.... Mid week meet anyone???

Why dont we make it a central point to be fair on everyone for a dinner/drink meet.

Please think about the guys on the Western and Northern Suburbs. :D

assuming this all gets off the ground...i think a quick meet whether that be car wash or dinner would be far more entertaining...while cruises are fun, you are stuck in the car most of the time so it makes it hard to really meet the people behind the wheel...im in depending on dates to be announced, etc.

Hmmmm could be okay, dunno about the cruise part of it though....not the sort of cruise you would expect on these forums anyway.
I might head down if anyone else is going from this forum, although I'm not going to be keeping my day free for it.

What sort of cruise would you expect here?

The kind that I have been on as a part of this forum...as in cruises that are not hindered by police presence, which would be the case for this Oz Liberty club cruise if it's down beach road on a Sunday at 12pm, not to mention the traffic.

Ah k. Fair call. Def two different types of "cruises".

I own a 70's celica, (retrofitted with a turbo 20v 1600) and we used to run cruises a fair bit. (Lake mountain, black spur, Great Ocean Road, etc) But there is police presence just about anywhere these days. The trick is finding fun roads that are in general traffic free and have a high set speed limit anyway. (100kph around twistys is still a fair effort)

Anyone else interested in going to this meet/cruise Ozliberty is holding?

I'm probably heading down if there isn't going to be rain, and I think Devour is too.

Hey guys, new to the vic crew but definitely keen to meet up with some regulars.
At this time of year with the cop presence cruises become nigh on impossible anyway, so i'd agree with everyone on making it more of a catchup!
I'm happy to catch up anywhere, so no real help on the locations.
How about a mini-photoshoot though? from experience most people into cars have a dab hand with the old camera?
Just another idea, they always worked out well with my previous club/forum :D

Well I went to the Ozliberty meet yesterday, was about 40 people there including families.
Me and Devour didn't hang around for too long, maybe an hour or so because we didn't know anyone else but we still had a chat to a few of them. Was people from Forester clubs and other subaru clubs.
