The next one is this coming Sunday. There's a pretty good chance I won't be running the Liberty, as
[1] Finances are a bit low this month, after I bought a car trailer for the MG, and a new CB and antenna for the cruise.
[2] I'm now head timekeeper for the event, and being "observed" to get a CAMS "Officials" licence...

There is still an MG club event coming up on Nov-14. I'll probably run both the Liberty and the MG at that event.
The entry fee for that event will be much cheaper (about $40), and you can still come along and get a one-day membership if you want to have a go.

are these on sealed roads or offroad?

since the lib is lowered I probably dont want to do any offroading style of driving.

To be honest, I wouldnt mind having a nice cruise down towards Sorrento. Then possibly take the ferry across to Queenscliff and head down the Great Ocean Road. Obviously those Western Suburb people could meet us in Queenscliff so they don't have to come this side of the bay just to head back.

A cruise doesn't always have to be through twisties. Just a suggestion.

As far as I can tell, ALL the roads on that route are sealed.
We avoid ever going off sealed roads, the last cruise was an unintended exception.

The problem with that is you'd have to do it at the crack of dawn, or you would spend a lot of time just following slower cars.
Getting away from urban areas, on little travelled roads, gives us a chance to really DRIVE our cars
However, I'm open to suggestion. If plenty of people want a cruise around the bay, I'm sure somethign can be organised.

We can hire out Haunted Hills or have a private day at Sandown or something.

I was thinking more to go on a group track day such as Sandown whereby you basically bring yourself and your car, and they provide track use and also track marshalls. It's all untimed and basically free for all. At Sandown this works out to about $250 to $300 per car.

If we want to hire out Haunted Hills for example, it's about $2500 to $3000 for the full day including timed laps. If we get 20 people that's $150 each. The more cars the less driving time per car.

Given the choice I would prefer Sandown as it is constant continuous laps (HH you complete one lap then queue to have another lap). Plus Sandown you can have more than 1 car on the track at once.

I havent been on a cruise with this site yet or met any1 either as i am still new but in my opinion i reckon a drive down to queenscliff/anglesea through geelong torquay way.

No problem, we need suggestions.
That's just my opinion also.
It comes down to what most people want to do. I'm more than happy for someone to propose an entire route etc.
