This thread is a little confusing since the details in the first post do not match the current plans. Can you update (or have the owner update) the first post to reflect what is really happening?

Is the cruise happening on the same day as the photo shoot? The title of the thread will also need to be updated if that is the case.

Suggestion: When you are thinking of hijacking a thread that is owned by another member, seek permission to take over and carry on or start your own thread.

It's not confusing if you read from the start.

SUMMARY
1. Joshy posted on 11 July about a possible cruise on 27 July or 10 Aug; and then a cruise on 24 Aug
2. People were divided on availability and preference for cruise or photoshoot
3. Proposal to make both on same day
4. effortz took over on 27 July and confirmed photoshoot for 1pm on 10 Aug at corner of Montague Street & Gladstone Street
5. 10 Aug noted as suitable and 11 ppl confirmed
6. I suggested a cruise afterwards. Some interest expressed.
7. Richmond Ikea proposed as an alternate venue due to lighting & cover, as well as steep driveway at Montague Street & Gladstone Street
8. I suggested if going to Ikea, a cruise from there through Kinglake, Toolangi, Healesville and Yarra Glen, then back to the Eastern Freeway would be good.

I'm not interested in taking over, just proposing ideas. But we do need details confirmed asap as it's only a few days away - hence my suggestion to effortz to confirm.

Hijacking would be saying it's postponed until September or talking about the 132 LED light strips I installed under my car

Usually, the 1st post in the thread holds all the current details of whats happening and when and is maintained as accurate to record the decisions taken on timing, venue and sequence and attendance. Not formal, just basics for the casual glancers to see what's happening without having to troll through the whole 6 pages of the thread.

Same meeting point for the meet, once everyone's there I'll take a few photos w.e, maybe go to Richmond Ikea from there? I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the cruise but for those interested maybe Monkey can organise that as he has a route planned?

What is it? It’s a meet & a photoshoot, everyone is free to take photos, I’ll be taking some to post on my page http://www.facebook.com/DivineMediaPhotography
The entry is towards the end of the road near the brick wall in the image so on Kerr St, it may be steep for some of you if you're that low, and watch out for a few pot holes inside the actual place
