FYI, you can get DynamatExtreme Bulk pack (36 sq ft) for $225 + delivery from here:
http://www.doitdirect.com.au/Dynamat-10455-Xtreme-Bulk-Pack-p/10455.htm

Same quality as the Stinger Pro but more for less $$'s.

While you're on there, get yourself some DynaXorb as well, really help with mid/low-bass.

All up delivered, the Extreme Bulk Pack + DynaXorb was under $300.

O rly... bugger LOL. Would be good if we just bought a few bulk packs and split it up amongst us all.

Is there much diff btw Stinger Roadkill and Roadkill Extreme?

I'd suggest that if there was a really good price obtained from a local disty, everyone stump up for the bulk pack of Dynamat Extreme and a pair of dynaxorb's and once you see how easy it is doing the front doors, focus on doing the front doors and if time permits, do the back doors as well, or people can do them in their own time.

Another thing we haven't thought about yet is doing the parcel shelf. Makes a MASSIVE difference to bass, so well worth doing as part of the exercise. If nothing else, getting a single front door done, the parcel shelf and a back door (they're REAL easy) would give people an excellent grounding to complete the rest in their own time.

Think I'll need to add some adhesive door draft foam to the list of required items. All these little bits I forget about along the way. :P

And is there much difference?

Word on the hardcore audio forums is that you'll be hard pressed to hear ANY difference in a car. That's good enough for me. ;)

Cheeky bugga Tangcla. :P

We need a venue the I'm ready to host, present and assist. I REALLY don't have any contacts with a venue that comes close to what we need.

If anyone can help with a venue or similar? A double garage is honestly only big enough for 1 car by the time you swing the doors out and spread interior around the floor.

I checked with Ray at ART. We can use the outside of his workshop (can park several cars quite comfortably) so as long as it's not raining, we're good

Reeeeeeealy need very large under cover are. Also be aware that we'll no doubt be leaving small tar chunks all over the place on the floor as people cut little bits off and drop them, etc. So Ray may well not want that sort of thing.

Also, we could be in for 11+ cars at the current rate, so a workshop is far from big enough for that lot.

PS: No stress on people ins and outs at this time.

Outdoors should be fine provided it doesn't rain - and we can also utilise the spaces from the surrounding workshops :) plus it's a good opportunity to use his workshop for 'facilities'

Your natural enemies during a sound deadening exercise are:
- Dust/dirt (sticks to deadener and dirties the surface you're sticking to)
- Non flat surface the cars parked on (things rolling under/away from the car)
- Wind -> Blows the paper/junk away from where you're working. Also continually blows away the towell/rags you're leaning on to avoid massive knee destruction
- Coarse surfaces - While you can't get away from this entirely with Concrete, the smoother the better, so you don't damage all the interior parts you will have lying around. Door skins, leather seats, plastic roof trim, etc all scuff SO easily. The less chance for damage the better.

After reading that lot, I think you better ring NASA and ask if you can use their facilities...
