Melbourne cruise 13th April - PICS UP!

Postby Sentinel » Sun Mar 29, 2009 5:19 pm

blonde / drndrn - if you wanted some more twisty stuff - we could incorporate a route through Mt Dande then come down the back side and rejoin the route outlined by drndrn. Just a thought.

Cheers

P.S. Really hoping my back will be good for this cruise!

Without hijacking the thread...

It's getting better - just hard to tell without CT scans. I've got 3 buldging discs - 2 out (effecting nerves) and one in (effecting spinal cord) and a fractured vertebrae... Been about 5 weeks since I did it - loving physio and chiro!! I feel really good after visiting them! Feels even better when in the car too, but that rapidly deteriates when my muscles fatigue again... I've got a Territory which I use to get to appointments etc which is good, but really miss driving the GTB.

I've just had a seat fitting in the GTB which was very interesting. Looks like I will have to mod the seat 'a fair bit' according to the physio. Spoke with a few trimmers about it and looks like I might have it done next week.

So, yeah - bit a mental battle, but I'm getting there.

Back on thread... (pardon the pun)

Appreciate you arranging the cruise mate!

I hope you all have fun guys.
Sorry I can't come. I'm doing a motorkhana in Geelong that day, as part of the MG Clubs National meeting over Easter.

(That's assuming I get my back axles fixed. I broke one down at Geelong last weekend at a trial run of the motorkhana. Am replacing both with a stronger type.)

Sounds good, what do you suggest?

Based on drndrn's route where do you see us leaving his route and rejoining it?

OK guys,

What do you think of this route?

It's a combination of drndrn's cruise and includes Sentinal's mountain twisties. It's 120km which is pretty long, but i think it'll be a good cruise.

Nice guys! That's a great drive! Buy hey, I love driving so 120km is good, but happy to reduce if that encourages others to join - only 5 definites and 1 maybe (me)...
