Can't make this one. Damn looks like a good drive too.

Family on saturday, work on sunday, exam on monday. I say we have another melb meet up when birch_security comes down which will be at the end of the month. If he has the time.

Hin249,

We don't wait for sunny weather in Melbourne, otherwise you don't get anywhere. We just go and savour the five minutes of sunshine we may happen to get!

In any case, you own a Liberty don't you! AWD, wet & windy roads, there are not too many vehicles that can savour those conditions, as long as we remain on the cautious side and allow for the 2wd drivers that don't get out often!

I will be going regardless, that's just me.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

lol don't you worry Mark, I'll be more than happy to chase you through the twisties again. :D

So is this Mornington drive going ahead regardless Mark? If not we could always use this route for next time.

The great ocean road is a fantastic drive, although its very very very far. lol

drndrn,

I will be going regardless, as I enjoy the drive anyway. Although I will be taking my time and dropping in to any coffee shops that take my fancy. I will try one at Flinders, Sorento and Hastings in case we use the route again in the future.

You are more than wlecome to come along for as little or as much as you want, and you can choose the day as there are no others committed at this time.

The great Ocean Road is a must on any serious car enthusiast's agenda, but we should devote that to a "state" meet and greet and make an overnighter/weekend of it. That way you get to drive both directions! :D

Maybe long weekends are not the best time for cruises as many people have other social commitments, so maybe try for a weekend when there is not much on.

Alternatively, it is winter and we should organise a winter road trip. I know the Omeo Hwy well, but there is also the Alpine Way from Omeo to Bright which should be spectacular during winter. Bit of preparation required for the vehicles and may need snow chains (compulsory to at least carry). Maybe we should start another thread for that one and/or the
Great Ocean Road.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Hi sh1ft and welcome to the forum. Be glad to welcome you along for the cruise.

We are still trying to decide on which day, so stay tuned and respond with your preference. My preference is for the Sunday, but am reasonably flexible up until Friday at 5pm, when my wife will lock other activities in for me! :?

Mark.

Hi nytrojen,

You more than welcome to join the cruise as it is open to all members. So do you have any specific day preference? My weekend is starting to be pressured by the missus and I need to commit to a specific day.

No one else yet has committed and originally, I indicated Sunday, so if Sunday is ok with you, otherwise let me know by 5pm tomorrow.

Kind Regards,

Mark.
