hmmm, I was thinking more along the lines of a wet sponge to get the mud off, then a quick chamois ;)

The softboxed method is quite forgiving on dirty stains... Ric, you'll be fine :P

I've got a microfibre chamois, seems to be fine.

Well I'm currently polishing? waxing? whichever with the mothers carnubar wax.. I've just finished the boot and about to start on the rest after i finish breakfast.. I skipped claybaring and what not because well.. My arm isnt cut out for that stuff.

I'm really starting to hate having a dark coloured car.. I can see all the swirl marks and what not.. :( Am I right in saying that swirl marks are pretty much unavoiadable? Or am I just a newb?

A dark coloured car is very rewarding compared to a lighter colour. However, it's not for everyone because it needs to be constantly well maintained and cared for in order to keep it looking it's best.

Unless you keep your car in a cocoon, it's hard to avoid getting them. But when you're ready to reduce them, you'll need to set aside time to wash, clean, polish, and then wax. Or if you can't be bothered, take it to a detailer. Because there's really only so much you can do by hand, as you'll need the machine to buff out the heavy stuff.

haha ta for the words of wisdom..

another question.. do u guys drive with ur headlight covers on? I'm scared of damaging my headlights so i leave covers on.. And they look okay.. But yeah.. Too scared to take them off, altho ill have them off today..

And is there anyway of repairing scratches to headlights? I hadn't taken my covers off until before today and realised i have big scratches on the actual headlights.. I'm assuming they came like that form factory.

Clarence has the good car pics.
Here's a coupe when some of us went for a bite to eat before continuing with the individual shots.
