Easter in Adelaide

Easter in Adelaide

Postby Ric » Tue Feb 02, 2010 2:12 pm

There a National MG meeting being held in Adelaide over Easter. http://natmeet2010.mgccsa.org.au/events.htm
I'm going to be towing my MGA over for it, so I'll have both my "babies" with me. ;)
I'll have my dad with me, so won't be able to go to any meetups or dinner unfortunately, but if anyone wants to pop along to any of the events, I'd be more than glad to say "hi" :)

In short, there's three events you could see me at:
Sat April 3. Concours at Elder Park, King William Road, in the City of Adelaide, by the River Torrens. http://natmeet2010.mgccsa.org.au/events.htm#concours
All the cars are parked in rows, and judged for condition and originality.

Sun April 4. Motorkhana at the Woolworths Distribution Centre car park, Monarto. http://natmeet2010.mgccsa.org.au/events.htm#motorkhana
I think you know what a Motorkhana is. ;)

Mon April 5. Super Sprint at Mallala. http://natmeet2010.mgccsa.org.au/events.htm#sprints
It was pissing down rain the one time I've run there before, so I'm hoping to get a few dry laps :)

Anyway, post here if you're interested in meeting up. 8)
(There might be a small entry fee to get into the Concours venue. The other two will be free.)

It doesn't look like there's much interest. :(

If anyone feels like having a quick look at my MG and a chat, the Concours on Saturday would be the easiest. http://natmeet2010.mgccsa.org.au/events.htm#concours

PM me if you want my mobile number.

p.s. I'll have some club stickers and number plate surrounds with me. :)

wouldn't mind a club sticker and having a look at the number plate surround, but i'm working most of the long weekend :(

however, i might be able to make it to Elder Park on Saturday if you're still there around 2pm.

I've got the stickers. There's one surround on my Liberty, I forgot to bring the rest.
We'll probably still be in Elder Park at 2pm. My car is a black "MGA Coupe" with rego plates "MGA-01".
There will be an area for just that model somewherein the park :)

Well I'm home now. Left Adelaide at 7:30am in torrential rain, and arrived home at 4:15pm Vic time, in plenty of time to go see the 10CC and Supertramp concert tonight.
They were both great :D

Was thankful for AWD towing a car trailer up Mt Barker with sheets of water flowing down the road!

A black MGA hardtop. These shots are all me:

When the car is showing "157", it's me. When it's showing 257, it's my dad. (Although he was showing both numbers on one run, when the plastic stuck over my number fell off ;))
