If you saved a dollar for every time you hated on Gen5s, those brembos would be on your car Ben

Here is my lap.

My assessment of myself was that I was too conservative. I never felt the ABS cut in.

I used third gear for all corners and picked fifth just before the long sweeper otherwise in fourth.

I do think my lines were good, I just need to dive in deeper and go faster through that long back sweeper.

Nice work.

Very smooth.

What did you use to record and overlay the telemetry???

I used an iPhone app, Harry's lap timer,

http://www.gps-laptimer.de/Home.html

I attached my iPhone 5 to the windscreen using one of these excellent RAM mounts from the US. It has to be the metal ones that are very solid.

http://www.ja-gps.com.au/RAM-Mounts

The app uses the iPhone's GPS and accelerometer and then creates the overlaid video for you. This was my fist use of it and I now realise I could have added up to 20sec before and after the lap which would have been better. You can use an external GPS for even better accuracy but he claims to 0.1sec with the phone's internal GPS which will do me.

Looks like fun - but what happened to Taylor? i.e. where was the spin?
similar thing happened to my mates Evo VI TME at Mallala - he was coming out the Esses, boot full while on the ripple strip, unsettled the car and then 180º straight into the wall with the drivers side :(

Taylor was coming out of Turn 2, onto Pit straight. Spooled up a little too early and it oversteered and spun into the wall.

Turn 2 you need to have a shallow entry and double apex the corner for optimal exit speed :)

By shallow entry you mean start the corner closer to the inner radius of the curve? I guess this would allow for a faster line and exit from turn 1.
