I'm happy with whatever/wherever... just trying to present an option so SOMETHING happens. I think Karl is over planning cruises, too.

BBQ is a good idea. BYO food & drinks is always the way to go.

Somewhere near the beach would be perfect for the hot weather also! Maybe down near west beach? I'm pretty sure there are some BBQs along there somewhere, I can check it out if you'd like?

Depending on dates we could have it at my new detailing workshop in Somerton park

Plenty of room for parking and mobs of room for a BBQ undercover

Nice, Hamish! :)

OK, so 1st/2nd I'm busy, and other than that the 15th my Parents MAY still be here (not sure if Mum said they were booked on the boat back to Tassie on the 15th or 16th)

Other than that, I'm open - what are other people's calendars like?

No, Karl, that would see worlds colliding. Ben's folks think that he's a nice, quiet, reserved, polite and respectful young man whereas we know him as a Liberty GT driver. The two worlds are incompatible.

Went to a meeting tonight and it was impossible to get a majority of the people there to be free for a pre-Christmas get together so we're putting it off until January.

I wonder if we should do the same thing?

cheers,

bj

We are, - the track day at Mallala!

BJ you should be coming to that, it would be reasonably close for you wouldn't it?

Oh yes, I know about the track day but that's in Feb - I was thinking of something a few weeks before where we can eat, drink and be merry.

And although Mallala would only be about an hour away for me, track days just don't do it for me. Going round and round the same track (or, worse, just watching others do it) isn't really that stimulating. I'm only about 10 minutes from the Collingrove Hill Climb and have never been there in the 12 years I've lived near it.

Cheers,

bj

I thought driving the same track would be boring too, then I realized I've driven belair road and others more times than I dare count and I still enjoy them just as much!
