SA Christmas Thing??

So I saw the NSW event go up, do we want to do something, sometime December-ish?

I'm thinking maybe a cruise somewhere a little more decent than a bakery/pub for lunch, or an afternoon cruise somewhere decent for dinner?

Or alternatively, highly dependant on numbers (and who, some of you guys are a bit dodgy ;)), I'm still happy to have a BBQ at my place.

There's avid SSSA x Mas cruise going down Ben :).

But we could do a ASN.Liberty one.

Oooh, I hadn't seen that - could be good. Still nice to do something for us though.

(Plus, although *I* try and behave ;) ... being something that Olds Mark is involved in organising, I'd expect a cop presence...)

That cop is quite nice. He has a well modded Rex himself.
Won't fine you for speeding etc but won't let you drive if your deflectable.

Ie bold tyres. Rims outside the guards. Dumped to the ground and wheels hiding up in the guards.

I'd be in it - how about a beach thing down at Sellick's or Moana where we can drive onto the beach? - a true Aussie Christmas.

Just a thought.

cheers,

bj

I'm keen for catchups anywhere. Or SSSA catchups.

Hmmm... my car will probably go better on sand than I do (my crutches tend to sink... which makes things fun!) Do they have BBQ facilities or whatever?

I wouldn't drive onto the beach. Especially all the lowered guys. My stock gen4 got bogged driving out when I took it there. The sand onto/ off the beach is so soft and churned up.

So, Karl and I were talking last night and thinking we should get this thing happening. We're happy just to make it a BBQ and catch up, which I'm happy to have at my place, pending numbers.

Are enough people interested that this is worth doing?

A end of year catch up sounds good. Although as much as it is a kind gesture to have it at your place Ben, might I suggest a park with supplied bbq's? That way the guests dont trash your place, everyone can byo food & drink and the rubbish gets sorted in the council supplied bins. It also lends itself to be able to kick a footy etc, if your at a park also. Plus if there is plenty of carparks, a group photo with cars etc can bode well.

Depending on location. i.e. by the beach, national park, or country reserve, you can search for local bbq's here http://meatinapark.appspot.com/

Putting these two together...is the invitation also to be extended to Michael?

Sorry, just being the prick that I am. And, sorry, Michael, we haven't even met and I'm giving you curry.

As to the actual get together, I wonder if, for a car group thing, the journey is as important as the destination (if not even more important) so would a morning cruise not go astray?

And I would agree with Shav - have it at a park and people can come and go as they please and you're not stuck with the mess or those who don't want to leave in a hurry.
