Wheel Repair Adelaide

Wheel Repair Adelaide

Postby mynameisdaniel » Sun Feb 26, 2012 10:01 pm

Trying to get my car back to new condition. Sadly all 5 wheels (Yes, the spare too) have some nasty gutter rash. They're the standard STI 18" Enkei's. I'd like to keep them as I like the way they suit the car but they really need to be fixed.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get them fixed? Cheap is good, or if you can recommend someone who will have them looking perfect that would also be nice.

Cheers,
Daniel.

Ouch, even gutter dashing the spare?

Wider tyres should help when you get them fixed!

Post up the result when your done and if your happy with who ever you go with

Yep, one of them has a scratched face so we thought we'd get away with just swapping that one with the spare... But no...

Still have about 50% of some Pirelli P-Zeros left but the 215 is just way too thin and offers no protection so I'll upsize when they're dead.

I shall do :)

My dunlop SP SPORT MAXX 225/40 have a nice rim protector and doesn't overhang over the wheel on a 8inch wide.

I'd be tempted to try either 225/45/R18 or 235/40/R18 for the new tyres (depending on fitment). I like beefy tires, none of this stretched rubbish ;)

My old car had 215/45/R17s on 7" wide wheels and they looked just right to me and had decent protection.

Sadly with the amount of driving I do these tires will probably last me another 2 years.

Hi Aaron,

If I was to put up some pictures of some of the damage to my wheels could you give me an estimate on costs and what would be involved to get them fixed? Obviously it's a bit hard to give an exact quote, just want to know if I'm looking at hundreds or thousands to get them fixed...

Hi Daniel,
Sorry i have not got back to you sooner. I am happy to give you a quote on repairs to your wheels. Are you able to email me with some pictures of the wheel and the damage? That way I can assess the damage and give you an estimated cost of repair.

Thanks
Aaron Sommers
