Guys.

I paid a visit to Waxit today (www.waxit.com.au) at Lawton and purchased some Zaino products for the wagon.

While I was there having a chin wag with the owner and he spoke to me about their Saturday afternoon "Detailing Classes" they run for clubs, friends etc, and I thought I might add an EOI thread to do one of these classes.

Below is some information about the classes from the Waxit website...

Waxit is able to host your car club or group of car enthusiast mates for a Saturday afternoon detailing workshop.

These workshops are aimed squarely at the average car loving guy or girl who wants to learn more about the detailing process, techniques and products.

We cover:

Washing.

Clay barring.

Machine polishing (an overview only)

Hand polishing.

Product explanations.

Wheel and tyre care.

A typical workshop starts with a BBQ at 1.00pm. You or your club provide the food and the cook. Waxit provides the BBQ, utensils, sauces and soft drinks. At approximately 1.30pm we kick off the workshop which run for about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on questions etc.

You need 6 people to start and a maximum of 15 per workshop.

Naturally our showroom is open before and after the workshop should you wish to make a product purchase on the day.

They have an awesome variety of brands and products for all different budgets.

So guys this is just an idea I had to try one of these days, if your keen post up a reply and we'll see if we can get enough numbers.

Cheers.

Rusty.

I did one of those days with Ozfoz Forum members and Dave a month or so ago and it was a real eye opener as to what can be done to your car to keep it in top order.
Dave is also a treasure trove of knowledge when it comes to detailing.

I cannot recommend this Detailing Class enough, the guys on Ozfoz who were there will also attest to this too.

There isn't any date set, its just an expression of interest thread at the moment. :)

If you can find 6 or more friends willing to attend then just give him a call and see if he can fit you into his schedule.

Exactly as Resonate has said It's an EOI thread.

There are no date's set, I just wanted to see how many forum members were interested and to see if we could get enough numbers.

I take it that your keen to attend Loose 1.

If so, we need at least 4 to 5 more.... Anyone.

I'll be keen depending on date of course. I went to one of his sessions with SAUQLD a few months back and it was very informative! If nothing else it's a good excuse to buy a few bits and pieces from him anyway lol.

Rusty, I just had a brainstorm mate, why not post the EOI up on a couple of other Subaru websites and see if you can make up the numbers that way and also possibly make some new friends along the way?

You could try:

Subaru Forester Forum - http://www.subaruforester.org (This one is US based but has quite a few Aussie members.)
Liberty Forum - http://forum.liberty.asn.au
OzFoz Forum - http://ozfoz.com
Ausubaru Forum - http://www.ausubaru.com
GTrydaz Forum - http://www.gtrydaz.com

you will never know if you don't try.
