Hi there guys,

I've organised a detailing demo for another forum I'm apart of (ozfoz.com) and I'm now extending the invitation to my fellow liberty owners over here

Here is the rundown of what's happening copied from ozfoz

bass_ke wrote:Hi Guys,

I know some of you are keen to learn a bit more about car detailing and after having a chat with Dave at waxit whilst I was up there last week and idea came into my head.

Dave is able to run detailing demo's for free if we are able to get between 6-15 people together, it'd be a great chance to learn a bit more and to have a look at some of the products in use, I especially want to get into machine polishing........

Here is a quick run down of the day from the waxit.com.au website

Waxit Detailing Workshop

Waxit is able to host your car club or group of car enthusiast mates for a Saturday afternoon detailing workshop.

These workshops are aimed squarely at the average car loving guy or girl who wants to learn more about the detailing process, techniques and products.

We cover:

Washing.

Clay barring.

Machine polishing (an overview only)

Hand polishing.

Product explanations.

Wheel and tyre care.

A typical workshop starts with a BBQ at 1.00pm. You or your club provide the food and the cook. Waxit provides the BBQ, utensils, sauces and soft drinks. At approximately 1.30pm we kick off the workshop which run for about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on questions etc.

You need 6 people to start and a maximum of 15 per workshop.

Naturally our showroom is open before and after the workshop should you wish to make a product purchase on the day.

So let's see how many we can get keen and if we get the numbers I'll organise the date

We could also organize a cruise Before/After or even follow on drinks somewhere

UPDATE 03FEB2009: Look's like the BBQ is good to go!

Bring your own meats along for the cooking, I'll bring along a heap of onion and some bread

Dave is supplying the Sauce and the Soft Drink

If I was avail this weekend I'd attend too - his advice has done wonders for my paint

I have now even been able to pull the last few visible swirls from my paint using the Advanced Swirl remover on the buff, since these photos were taken

Tell Dave I said Hi and Thanks

Thanks Nate for organising the workshop. Turned out to be a really good afternoon and the amount of detail Dave went into, including his demonstrations is impressive. Too bad i've already forgotten half of it. Information overload!
