Do it mate. If anything will be fun to punt it around the track, and you'll learn your (and the cars) limit in a safe environment.
Just make sure you roll race Kiahatsiu's wagon... It'll be an easy win for ya. :P

As others have said just come along and have a good time. It's not a race so no one will care how fast you are.

Hmmm, I might go to the next one that comes up then. That way I'll have a bit more time to prepare and (hopefully) my brother should have his 1JZ S14 registered by then, so he could join me :D

Well, I'm glad I went along. There was a good variety of cars out there: a couple of Gallardos, Lotus', an Audi R8, and R35 GTR being the highlights. My only complaint would be that there were too many cars and not enough track, so there was no chance of practising any kind of proper driving line.

That is the whole point of it though. If you want a proper driving line go to a lap sprint or time attack day. There is a reason that these only cost $60.00, and you cannot wear a helmet. These days are just about having some roll on fun.

Next Circuit and Coffee coming up next Sunday the 13th: http://shop.downshiftaus.com/product/circuit-coffee-20-september

I will probably be heading along again, so would be good to see some of you out there. Someone from DS mentioned they think there will be less cars on the track this time. Not sure why that is, but it's definitely a good thing.

They should have the wet skid pan open again as well. I gave it a crack last time but was pretty terrible/the AWD too good

How long does the event go for?

I see it starts at 6am (gonna be an early start if I go, coming from Bris northside), but how long are we able to be on the track or in the skid pan?

You get on the track at around 6:30 and have to get off at 8. The skid pan should be open for the same period. Last time the longest line up for it that I saw was only 2 cars, so it shouldn't be a problem getting on there.

It's not a bad length of time to be honest. Any shorter and it would be too short; any longer and you would likely get bored.

Till about 8:30 sometimes but you can only get a few laps before you boil your brakes :D

I live at everton park and it takes a good hour to get there

On again this Saturday at 4:30pm for a change.

Anyone interested should note that you now need a QR clubman's licence to participate for insurance reasons ($55 annually, or $20 for a day pass I think).
