SEQ Cruise - Sunday 1st June

Postby Sean82 » Wed Apr 23, 2014 1:44 pm

I'm hopefully in; may be in a new job out of the country by then.
If I'm here, I'll also hopefully have my new turbo in too!

Let me know when you're home next, would love to see that beast of yours!

Is everyone happy to meet at the Dreamworld carpark around 9ish? Then we can start heading around 9:30ish once we've all had a yarn.

Then on towards Murwillumbah, stoppping where ever we find somewhere that can house us all :)

Then from there everyone can do their own thing, or if groups are heading the same direction as each other can organise that on the day.

From depression bay just head straight out to the Bruce Hwy or the Gateway, whichever is closer to where you are, and then follow the highway south toward the gold coast for at least an hour. You will eventually see signs for Dreamworld at Coomera. I forget the exit number but it would be around 75 or so. Once you get to the meeting spot you'll be able to follow everyone else on the cruise.

I'll try to make this one coz I'll be keen as mustard to give my car a good run after a major service and new suspension bits installed

Put me down at this stage.

May jump off before springbrook. See how I feel on the day.

Bit of sour history on that mountain.

But we shall see closer to the date!

yea im in terrible Dbay, just moved outta Redcliffe cause we couldn't find a decent house, but this neighborhood seems ok (theres about 5 imprezas that live nearby, hear them 24/7, 1 go comes home or goes to work at about 2am).

quick question in here, gotta buy brake pads before this, any recommendations for good but also not so expensive ones or doesnt matter too much? haven't done the brakes yet on this car, and need to check if i need to replace the rears as well as the front. if you didnt read my other posts, its a gen 1 (need to make a signature i know)

Edited: oh right, it says car over there --> anyway

Seconded on QFM HPX. If you have unknown rears, make sure you do those too. I put HPX pads and T2 rotors on the front of mine, didn't do rears, now they fade/smoke under hard braking. I bought mine from GSL Rally Sport.

Depending on how I feel the day before I may or may not go down in the morning from the Sunshine Coast (otherwise I might head down to bris the night before and stay at a friends.. XD) if that's the case, you can meet me somewhere and we can go down together if you want. I'll let you know closer to the day what my actual plans are.. but as Denski said, it's not a bad run to get to the meeting spot and it's quite well signed :).
